Responsible for general maintenance of refrigeration cases, equipment and other general labor support to more senior Service Technicians. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.


·       Repair, replacement, and refurbishment of refrigeration equipment. (i.e. walk-ins, case end doors and hardware).

·       Sheet metal repair of freezers, coolers and HVAC units.

·       Trim new cases, remove and replace trim on existing cases.

·       HVAC change outs and installations.

·       Install refrigerated cases (i.e. close-offs).

·       Replace exhausted hooded vents.

·       Provides support by picking up, delivering, installing and repairing walk-ins.

·       Drives company vehicle, when required, in a safe manner.

·       Performs other related duties and projects as assigned. 


·       3-5 years’ experience general carpentry work and sheet metal work on repairing and refurbishing refrigeration cases and equipment.

·       High school diploma or GED, course work at an accredited vocational technical or trade school

·       A valid and current Driver license

·       Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information

·       Ability to understand, remember, and communicate routine, factual information.

·       Ability to apply common sense in performing job

·       Ability to make decisions that have a moderate to significant impact on the work performed

·       Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology

·       Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule on short-term basis

·       Ability to count accurately

·       Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and to record, balance, and check results for accuracy

·       Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines

·       Ability to complete routine forms, use existing form letters, and/or conduct routine oral communication

·       Ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports and/or to orally communicate technical information

·       Ability to communicate with individuals utilizing a telephone; requires ability to hear and speak effectively on the telephone

·       Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, communicating orally with others accurately, audibly, and quickly.
